Wiglet’s Great Spook-er-ree at Godstone Farm

In her role as the official young reporter for Godstone Farm in Surrey, Tilly was invited to a preview of their halloween event for October half-term, Wiglet’s Great Spook-er-ree!

Especially for the event, Godstone Farm had built a magical ‘light illusion’ tunnel, featuring spooky and creepy scenes covered in hundreds of fairy lights. The magic happened when you put on a pair of special glasses, which turned all the lights into halloween shapes like pumpkins, bats, and skulls.

In the craft barn, Tilly got to make a spider headband by folding black paper into concertina legs, and sticking on creepy eyes.

Tilly then went to Animal Handling where, along with a bearded dragon, a rat, and a scorpion, she got to hold a real-life tarantula! Although she wasn’t happy about it.

To round off the brilliant day, Tilly took part in a wheelbarrow race in the pumpkin field.

Godstone Farm is one of our favourite places to go and this October half-term was even better with their special halloween activities, running from 26th October to 3rd November.
